2026 Gaudí Year
The Gaudí Year 2026 is a commemoration that highlights the figure and legacy of Gaudí, one of the most influential architects of Modernism and in the history of world architecture. The initiative focuses on the 100th anniversary of his death and aims to disseminate, study, and promote his work, his scientific and technical approach, and his cultural significance internationally.
HAECKEL · MORRIS · GAUDÍ
At the end of the 19th century, E. Haeckel, W. Morris, and A. Gaudí shared a profound fascination with the organic forms of nature. Ignoring the straight industrial line, they sought the aesthetic key in biology: microscopic precision, plant patterns, and skeletal structure became their language. Haeckel documented marine life, Morris stylized it in his textile designs, and Gaudí elevated it to architecture, creating a bridge between science and art. This series is a tribute to his legacy, uniting the geometry of the cell with the fluidity of Arts & Crafts ornament and the beauty of Catalan Modernism.
